Ansel Eayrs
Science Teacher/E.C.
Mr. Eayrs is a native of Ceres, CA. He grew up swimming for the Ceres Dolphins. He is an alumnus of Ceres High School, class of 2001, where he swam, wrestled, played water polo, and competed in Science Olympiad. Mr. Eayrs graduated from the University of the Pacific in 2005 with a B.S. in Biological Science and again in 2007 with a M. Ed in Curriculum and Instruction. Mr. Eayrs enjoys turning students on to science and finds great reward in attempting to convey just how amazingly diverse life is on our planet. In addition to science Mr. Eayrs enjoys learning about history - especially the Civil War era. He enjoys music and knows just about every oldies song or ballad of the Civil War. Buddy Holly is his favorite artist of all time. Just about every name or phrase in a conversation reminds him of some song lyric and upon hearing it he may be compelled to break out into song. His heroes are John Stockton; Robert E. Lee; and his late Grandfather, Joel Hidahl, who was an advocate of preserving the valley's farmland. Mr. Eayrs teaches Biology, Earth Science, and Spanish I at Delta Charter High School. The 2007-2008 school year is his 2nd year teaching and his first at DCHS. |
